Red Sox to play exhibition games vs Nationals

nationals-parkThe Boston Red Sox don’t play the Washington Nationals very often, but they will be playing a three games series of exhibition games right before opening day.

One of the games will be at the Red Sox Spring Training home in Fort Meyers and the other two will be in the Washington, DC area — one will be at Nationals Park and the other will be played about 30 miles away at the Naval Academy in Annopolis, MD.

The game at the Naval Academy is a fairly interesting one as tickets won’t be available to the general public, but will instead be given out for free to students at the academy and members of the US Navy. The game, which will broadcast on ESPN on April 1, is also the first in what will be an annual game for the Nationals through at least 2019.

As many of you know, I live in the Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC, so I’m looking forward to being able to watch my Red Sox play at Nationals Park.
